Tracker Music
When I was 16 (in 1996), by accident, I discovered tracker music via Scream Tracker 3. I got hooked, and continously made music ~23 years. In between I upgraded to classical sequencers, bought multiple synthesizers, and even appeared on a CD release
- 09/1996: le jour de la vie
- 02/1997: triste
- 04/1997: Journey into ice
- 05/1998: tune105
- 07/1998: Future Days
- 11/1998: sea of dreams
- 03/1999: Lloret de Mar
- 03/2000: End of days Remix
le jour de la vie
Apart from an extremely pathetic title it features everything a good happy rave track would ever need in 1996. Except a good singer maybe. Contrary to many tracks I made in 1996 it's actually not really bad.. just happy rave.
Equipment:
The track was done in Scream Tracker 3.21. Later on, when Impulse Tracker arrived, I added voices and stuff in IT2.14
Other Info: extremely happy happy rave

I always liked this track, And I still like it, although one can clearly see it's age through the chosen instruments (pizzicato anyone). But it nevertheless managed to create a sublte melancholic atmosphere, and the melody is quite nice.
Equipment:
This track was done in Scream Tracker 3.21 and lateron reedited in Impulse Tracker 2.14.

Journey into ice
Created this just before I went to Denmark. It's a bit Trance, a bit House, a bit playing with melodies. Nothing special here, I wouldn't call it worth the download today.

tune105
This would be the first indication of that weird pop/toy/happy/techno mixture I kept on making till 2001. It's like happy rave, only slower and with weird instrumentation which makes it even less believable. Could fit some ¸berhappy anime; Ah well and the melody is nice.

Future Days
Ah, 1998, Mouse T's Horny was in the Charts and some of my friends had started a Party-DJ project. So they asked me if I could make some Intro Hymn for them. This ought to be the result; The melody is quite nice, just a tad boring, and even the rest is acceptable Happy Rave. Just quite basic.

sea of dreams
If you like 1998 style commercial trance house music, someway between Nalin & Kane's Beachball and slight boredom, you could dig this track. The sound quality is quite good, I'm actually astonished about that. And it creates a very warm chill mood. If you're into this type of music, try it.

Lloret de Mar
Hell yes, don't even ask about that title, kthx. Made that before me and my friends went into a chinga chinga holiday in the beforementioned town. I really couldn't define the style of this track, let's call it somehow techno. It's a bit like my later Happy Rave things, just without rave and without happy. But still somehow listenable..

The good old Impulse Tracker 2.14p4 including the Cutoff-Filter Xmas present (I loved those). Most Instruments & Samples come once again from MAZ no. 1 Instrument disc

End of days Remix
This is a remix from the Angel's voice in Schwarzeneggers 'End of Days'. I created it after listening way too much to Hard Trance and Hardcore music stuff. This was actually the last track I made before I decided to give up making music, because I felt so empty. If it hadn't been for remix.overclocked.org, lateron, I had probably really stopped here. You might like this one if you've seen the movie, and if you're a fan of hard trance.

Chrono Trigger - Belthasar Remix
This was my first OCRemix submission. I didn't even believe that David would accept this submission, but the fact that he did really motivated me to continue making music. This track was originaly just a re-remix of an older original I had made. in the beginning of 2000 I had decided to stop making music. So the approval of this track by David made me continue making music. I'll always thank him for that. This is nice D'n'B like music, on the verge of being boring :)

Maniac Mansion [go w*ld]
This was an attempt at creating a whole track in Cooledit 1.1. Even the melodic structures were created using pitch-shift on samples; The basslines are from the NES-Version of the game, I recorded Emulator-Output. The sudden end of the track is due to a lack of harddrive-space :) This is some definate crazy distorted drum 'n bass music. If you like harder D'nB or even Schranz, you might really like this..

Chrono Trigger - Millenial Fair 2001
This track inherites much of the stuff I learned during the creation of my earlier originals, like for example tune105. Many people liked the Idea of merging Mr. Wells Time Machine with the Chrono Trigger Universe. It's a nice track, but the Japan happy techno style I used here makes it everything but honest.

Chrono Trigger - Blue Minded God
I really digged AmIEvil's 'Samus Strut', so I kinda wanted to create something with a similar laidback beat. I think I added a bit too much bass in this one, and I hardly did the Magus Theme justice, but it's still a nice Magus Remix I'd guess. Nothing special, but nice to chill to. It's actually the first of a set of Magus Remixes I did over the years. I really like the Magus Theme :)

Mindcream
I stole alot from Blank & Jones, or at least i tried to. It's basically me playing around with my new synth. The melody ain't to bad, and it even has a nice build. Nothing I'd do today, but back then it was probably a bit trendy.
Equipment:
This is one of the few tracks where I used Impulse Tracker 2.14p4 (+cutoff extension) under DOS to control via midi the Access Virus a Synth. The drums come from Impulse tracker, I recorded the stuff via a 2. Computer in Cooledit Pro 1.1

Startropics 'Beachparty'
F4T4L3RR0R asked me to remix this track, so albeit I never played the game, I remixed it. It's nice listenable Gay rave, mostly due to the fact that the original theme is really nice and like..born for rave. Catchy would be a welcome description. If you liked Startropics - go for it.
Equipment:

Radical Dreamers - Reve d'ordinateur
Part of the OCRemix Radical Dreamers flood of 04-01. Funny stuff, 11 Remixers remixed the very same track and submitted it at the very same time. This track is a mixture of Drum'nBass and Orchestra, adding some electronic elements. The sheer beauty of the original tune add's to this one. And I managed to use Matrix-Samples :) I like this track.

Zelda3 - Kakariko Rave Party
If I had to judge the top 3 from all Remixes I submitted to OCRemix, this one would be among them. I like it, It's catchy, fresh, funny and creates a nice mood. No drawbacks here, apart from the mastering, which is not too good, but then again, who cares about that :)

I created this one for the original Sarbatka1. I'm not too fond of this one. It's just sub-basic trance, featuring voice samples from the game. Worth a download if you liked the game and like techno.

Secret of Mana - Ice Crystal Fields Forever
It really took me a long time to create this track. I've been working on it from time to time during about 3 months. It really creates a nice cold feeling of loneliness. The beginning sample is me, walking through our garden after jogging. The mastering is quite wrong, too many highs, but it's still worth a download if you haven't already done so.

Magical Drop 3 - Drum 'n Jpop
I created this for the VGMix 1.0 opening. I used to play Magical Drop3 against my Girlfriend alot. And i really started to love the One-on-One melody in the game. So I remixed it in some happy d'nb fashion. I still like this remix, and I think it fits the original theme quite well. You should definately try this one, even if you've never played the game. Very very catchy

Original Music
After improving skills on tracker music and videogame remixes, I started making original music. Particularly the early ones are not very good, but some of them (marked with a *) are pretty solid As I focused more on programming I more and more lacked the time to properly focus on music.

Once again I was playing around with my new synth. Once again I managed to create a not so bad track; It's standard commercial trance (gay trance). Playing around with cutoff and stuff. The melody ain't that special either. I just upped it here for the record.

This is my first honest aim at creating non-commercial electronic music. It was just merely a test, an attempt, but kinda managed to be not that bad, being the first of it's kind i chose to include it here. It seems the more I try the worse it gets. This was, back then, a serious attempt at creating good trance music. Listening to it today i've to control myself not to blush. It's a weird merge of techno, videogame music and acid, and definately everything but mastered. It was my first playing around with Cubase 3.7, maybe that explains the mess

I vaguely remember anything from the creation of this track, but I think I was deeply impressed by the stuff Lasgo released back then, so I tried to copy him. Basically standard gay trance, but the quality surpasses most of my previous work. (Oh yeah, and I wanted to impress my GF :))

The next track in my electrolux triology. Way better than the previous one this is one of the first times I actually created listenable melodies, and listenabled music which is not techno or trance or anything commercial. If you like the later sarbatka stuff, go for this one. It's actually even a hint at how my musical taste would proceed. I think i made this track in 40minutes, I'm not 100% sure, but I think so.

Joe Cammisa - Unheard Desires XXL
Joe rocks world. He asked several artists if they could remix his Come Back track so his girlfriend would come back. I agreed and created this track (as well as a 2. one with Disposer, see below). It's one of my first attempts at orchestral music thingies as well as some weird D'nB. It lacks quite some elements, but it's overall a good listen. You should try it, and besides, Joe rocks.

I actually never finished this track, this was supposed to be a demo I send to some friends. However since the demo is not bad, and since I never ever worked on that project again, I felt it would be the best idea to release it here. This is, once again, Gay Trance, but this time including good production quality. It's really not bad, this thing, adding another month of work, would probably have had a bit of hit potential. In 2003. Oh the name is due to an insider-joke from my 2003 Italy holiday.

Just a friend
Angry electronic guitars, overreaching synthesizers, orchestral strings, a very fat beat, and Joe Cammisa, whose emotional lyrics were recorded right after he came out of a failed relationship. This musical style of this track is very difficult to explain, but it is a fantastic track if you're lovesick.
I invested a lot of work into this track: Joe's vocals are heavily modified and there're several guitar parts which were assembled with a strong attention to detail so they could fit the overall melancholic feel. Vocals and lyrics are by Joe Cammisa who, once again, outdid himself. This tracks style lingers between Massive Attack and Coldplay but with a stronger tendency towards Massive Attack.

First new track release after my hiatus. A house track with a strong amount of delay on everything and a melancholic mainline to fit in with the sparse lyrics. Lyrics are sampled from German social scientist Niklas Luhmann. They're from a video interview where he explains his scientific analysis of love and passion. Translated, it means: "A token of love is when you deliberately and knowingly give in to what the other person expects you to be."
